Cat Runner is a free online endless runner game where you control a naughty cat running away from a farmer who is after you. Running through city streets full of barriers, buses and trains is like the game Subway Surfers. You have to avoid, jump over and slide under obstacles while collecting coins along the way. For those coins, you can get new masks for your cat to change its look and better hoverboards that will keep you from falling when things get too close.

Cat Runner can be played in your browser on both desktop and mobile devices, without having to download anything or create an account. It's easy to get started because the controls only move you in four directions, and the speed and number of obstacles keep getting harder as you play. There is no end line; the goal is to always do better than your last try and stay one step ahead of the farmer for as long as you can.

Play Endless Chase Game

Cat Runner is always going faster. The city ahead of you goes on forever, with fences to jump, buses to hop over and goods trains to dash across. The farmer is always right behind you, just a few steps away. Every clean pass over a barrier keeps you moving forward, but one hit slows you down just long enough for the farmer to catch up and end your run, unless you have a hoverboard ready to take the hit.

Coins, masks, and hoverboards

Cat Runner's customisation is based on coins you earn during the run. You can use them to get new masks for your cat that will help it blend in and change its look between runs, or you can buy better hoverboards that will let you go faster and, most importantly, survive one crash where you would have been caught. On longer runs, time when you use the board's save is important because each equip only saves you once.

How to Get Good at Cat Runner

Keep your eyes a few obstacle-lengths ahead of your character instead of directly at them, because the game speeds up as you stay alive, and if you respond too late, you'll die. Instead of activating your hoverboard as soon as you unlock it, wait until you're in a stretch with back-to-back obstacles. It's better to collect coin trails that line up with a safe lane than to risk a dangerous dash across several lanes to get a few extra coins.

How to Play Cat Runner

• Start running. Run into the city as the farmer starts to follow you.
• Change lanes—To avoid obstacles, press the Left and Right Arrow keys.
• Slide and jump: Press the Up Arrow to get over buses and the Down Arrow to get under walls.
• Collect coins—As you run, pick up the coins that are lying around.
• Turn on your board—Press SPACE to equip and use your hoverboard when you can't help but crash.
• Keep dodging—As the pace and number of obstacles rise, try to stay alive as long as you can.
• Spend your coins to go further the next time. Between runs, unlock new costumes and improve your boards.
